Wide Bay Burnett Regional Biosecurity Strategy Review
With funding from the Queensland Government as part of the Better Partnerships Project, the Wide Bay Burnett Invasive Species Advisory Committee is reviewing the Wide Bay Burnett Regional Biosecurity Strategy.
To assist in the review process, the committee is seeking input from regional stakeholders on the Strategy. Stakeholders can either attend a regional working group (dates below), or complete an online survey (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MFJRMBT).
Regional working groups will be held at the following locations:
- Gayndah – 11 March 2019
- North Burnett Regional Council Chambers, 34-36 Capper Street, Gayndah
- Bundaberg – 12 March 2019
- Bundaberg Multiplex – 1 Civic St, Bundaberg
- Gympie – 26 March 2019
- Smith Room, The Pavilion, Gympie Showgrounds, 77 Exhibition Rd, Gympie
- Kingaroy – 21 March 2019
- Kingaroy Town Common Hall, Oliver Bond Street, Kingaroy
- Maryborough – 27 March 2019
- Woccoo Community Hall – Woocoo Dr, Oakhurst

Wide Bay Burnett Regional Economic Development Growth Forum 11 October 2018
On 11 October 2018 in partnership with the Department of State Development, Manufacturing, Industry & Planning, Regional Development Australia (Wide Bay Burnett) and WBBROC the 5th Annual Regional Economic Development Growth Forum was held at the Multiplex in Bundaberg.
With a record 220 attendees this year's forum focused on showcasing the businesses from across our region. The forum once again also provided an excellent opportunity for business, industry and government to work collaboratively to improve the economic outlook and long-term sustainability of our region and, in doing so, ensure the region is well-placed to capitalise on investment and economic development opportunities.
