The Regional Economic Development Advisory Committee (REDAC) advises and represents the interests of WBBROC Councils on matters related to regional economic development to improve the economic outlook of the Wide Bay Burnett region.
The primary priorities of the Regional Economic Development Advisory Committee for the past 4 years have been:
- Wide Bay Burnett Minerals Province
- Port of Bundaberg
- Telecommunications (blackspots)
- Water for economic development
- Regional Export Extension Service
- Bruce Highway upgrades
- Freight logistics

These priorities will now be reviewed as WBBROC and REDAC start to implement the new Regional Economic Development Strategy 2019-2024.
In collaboration with the Department of State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning and Regional Development Australia, REDAC holds an annual Regional Economic Development Leadership Forum to celebrate and promote local initiatives developed by government and especially the regional business community.
